About The Robo Devils

Our rookie year was 2014. Since then, our team has competed in numerous competitions and had amazing results. We had the ability to go to the FIRST World Championships 3 times in the last 6 years. We have also earned many achievements and awards. In 2017, we ranked fourth at two local “District Events” and 7th at the Ontario Provincial Championship. Our performance that season allowed us to qualify for the World Championships in St. Louis. In 2018, we qualified for the World Championships yet again and due to our team’s culture, we intend to keep improving. In 2019, our team won the Creativity Award at Ryerson University for our impressive use of sensors and qualified for the Ontario Provincial Championship. Finally, in 2022 we met two large milestones; we were finalists at the York University Event, and Event Winners for the first time in our team’s history. at the Windsor-Essex Great Lakes Event.  Due to the fact that our team is a close community, many 5036 alumni have returned to mentor the new coming members of our team and continue to share their passion of STEM.

Building a robot is not our only goal. On 5036, we value spreading the knowledge of STEM and programming among the members of our team because as the world develops, STEM education will be vital! In our community, we spend our time showcasing our robot to introduce STEM to younger generations. Team 5036 believes that any goal is possible and we work hard to “Make it Happen”.
