Since the beginning of our team, we’ve continued to strive to achieve many of our goals! Whether it is winning awards or being alliance captains, we have always put in 110% of energy into everything we do. Despite robotics being very rewarding, it is an expensive extracurricular. Building and designing a robot can cost anywhere from $1000 to $2000. This does not include the cost of tools and travel costs. These expenses are usually an excessive amount for a school to handle by itself, which is why many high school robotics teams are sponsored by local businesses and organizations. With your help, our team can continue to encourage a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program not only to students at Sir Wilfrid Laurier Collegiate Institute but to students in our community.
